Doha: The Search and Follow-up Department of the General Directorate of Passports arrested one person of African nationality, who assisted 15 maids of the same nationality to run away and also help them hide in the Al Salata region.According to the details announced by the Ministry of Interior (MoI) on its Twitter page, when they received information about someone helping domestic workers run way and hide, a special team was immediately formed to investigate the matter. After obtaining the necessary permissions, the accused was arrested in flagrante delicto (caught in the act) of harboring 15 female workers in a rented house in the Al Salata area.When confronted, the accused admitted what was attributed to him, and gave details about sheltering the workers and enabling them to work, through special domestic service offers. Accordingly, the accused were referred to authorities to take measures followed in this regard.
